Demosplash 2015 will be held 6-7 November 2015 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Events will occur on the 4th floor of The Gates Hillman Center for Computer Science (in and around Rashid Auditorium GHC 4401).
Demosplash is one of the largest demoparties in North America, catering both to newcomers to the demoscene as well as established artists. We show demos live on original hardware as much as humanly possible, offering a viewing experience that can't be matched by emulators or recordings. In addition to screenings, we feature a variety of events, including tech talks, workshops, and open retro gaming.
Highlights for this year include:
This year, we will be hosting Yerzmyey as our musical guest. Yerzmyey is a very talented musician who has been producing chiptunes since 1989, and is best known for his work on the AY-3-8910 soundchip found in the ZX Spectrum 128K and Atari ST. He has also worked on a variety of other platforms including the Amiga, and recently, the Raspberry Pi.
If you are interested in checking out his music, see his SoundCloud for some samples, or his personal site to learn more about him or download his albums! We are very excited to have him join us all the way from Poland as our special guest for his first appearance in North America!
We are also looking for people who would like to do a talk and/or lead a workshop. If you are interested, please fill out the form on the Events page!
